Trees and Property

Tree reports for buying, selling, and owning property — covering mortgage and pre-purchase assessments, boundary issues, and subsidence concerns.

Overview

Insurers and mortgage lenders often require an assessment of the risk that nearby trees may pose to a property. We evaluate both current damage and future risk using predictive models and published data. While trees can add financial and aesthetic value, they can also contribute to structural issues affecting buildings and other structures.

What’s included

  • Home Buyers Tree Report — clear advice for homeowners and buyers on the risks of trees causing subsidence or other structural damage, with reports that meet the requirements of mortgage lenders and insurers.
  • Subsidence Reports — assessment of whether existing damage is likely to have been caused by trees, with clear advice and proportionate management recommendations.
  • NHBC Tree Reports — NHBC Chapter 4.2 requires an assessment of the influence of existing vegetation, recently removed trees, and significant pruning before foundation design can be finalised. We survey the relevant trees and provide design support to help avoid future issues.
